WiFi Hotspot Setup Checklist
Use this checklist to configure, test, and launch your first WiFi Hotspot.
Each step links to the relevant setup area so you can complete the configuration in the correct order.
1. Create Your Antamedia Account
Create your account and complete the initial Antamedia Platform setup.
Confirm your company details, time zone, and other basic account settings before configuring the hotspot.
2. Add Your Location
Create or select the location where WiFi Hotspot will be used.
Locations help organize hotspots, users, sessions, analytics, and other settings when managing one or multiple venues.
3. Connect Your Network Device
Connect a supported router, access point, gateway, or WiFi controller to WiFi Hotspot.
Follow the configuration guide for your network equipment and verify that the device can communicate with the platform.
4. Configure the Splash Page
Create or customize the Splash Page that guests will see when they connect to WiFi.
Add your logo, background, welcome message, terms, and other required elements.
5. Choose Login Methods
Select how guests will access WiFi.
Depending on your requirements, you can use login methods such as:
Free Access
User Login
Social Login
Voucher Login
One-Time Password
Hotel PMS Login
Secure SSO Login
Enable only the methods required for your deployment.
6. Configure Internet Access
Create the required Internet Plan and define how guests will use the connection.
Configure settings such as access duration, bandwidth, data limits, or pricing where applicable.
For paid WiFi, configure the required Payment Gateway before testing payments.
7. Configure Whitelist / Walled Garden
Add domains and services that must be accessible before authentication.
This can include services required for:
Splash Page operation
Social Login
Payment gateways
Secure authentication
Other external services used during login
Test that required pages can be reached before the guest completes authentication.
8. Review Marketing and Data Collection
If you collect customer information or use WiFi for marketing, review the fields and permissions displayed on the Splash Page.
Configure only the information and communication permissions required for your use case.
9. Test Guest WiFi Access
Before going live, connect a phone or other test device to the guest WiFi network.
Complete the entire guest workflow:
Connect to the WiFi network
Confirm that the Splash Page opens
Complete the selected login method
Verify that Internet access is granted
Test logout, session limits, or payment if used
Repeat the test with a new device or private browser session when necessary.
10. Verify the Session
Open the WiFi Hotspot Dashboard and confirm that the test session appears correctly.
Check the user, device, location, session duration, and other available session information.
If the session is recorded and Internet access works as expected, your WiFi Hotspot is ready for guests.
Ready to Go Live
Before opening the network to guests, confirm that:
Network equipment is connected and online
Splash Page displays correctly
Login methods work
Internet Plans are configured
Required whitelist domains are accessible
Payments work if paid access is enabled
Guest sessions appear in WiFi Hotspot
Once these checks are complete, your WiFi Hotspot is ready for production use.
