Cambium

This article describes the installation and configuration steps for Cambium APs. Our test was performed with cnPilot e410 and cnPilot e600 devices.

Connecting

Please reset the Cambium access point to factory settings to avoid problems with some previous configuration.

Go to the Configuration section and from the left menu navigate to the WLANs page.

Add a new WLAN or click the edit icon to setup an existing WLAN.

Basic Settings

SSID: Set your SSID name ( in this example WiFi Guest)
Enable: Ticked
VLAN: 2
Mesh: Off
Security: Open
Radius: 2.4GHz and 5GHz
Client Isolation: Network Wide

Advanced Settings
Max Clients:127
VLAN Pooling: Disable
Session Timeout: 28800
Inactivity Timeout: 1800
DTIM Interval: 1
Proxy ARP : Enable
Unicast DHCP : Enable

Save changes and continue with the configuration.

Go to the AAA Servers page.
As Authentication Server set:

Americas:
Host: 13.92.228.228
Port: 1812

Europe & Global Server:
Host: 109.245.64.94
Port: 1812

As Accounting Server set:

Americas:

As Accounting Mode select Start Stop.

Accounting Packet: Disable
Sync Accounting Records: Disable

In the Advanced Settings section as Server Pool Mode select Load Balance.
As NAS Identifier type your AP MAC address.
Enable Dynamic VLAN.

Save changes and go to the Guest Access page.

Use the following settings and leave others as default.

Save changes.

From the Configuration section, you can make other changes as needed for your network and then click Apply Configuration to save the settings.

If the mobile you are testing is not reaching the Hotspot splash page, but instead you get 404 not found error, please make sure that you have typed http:// or https:// in the Redirect URL field.
