What is WiFi Hotspot?
WiFi Hotspot is a cloud-hosted platform for managing guest WiFi access across one or multiple locations. It allows businesses to control Internet access, create branded splash pages, manage users, offer free or paid WiFi, and monitor network activity from a centralized dashboard.
How WiFi Hotspot Works
WiFi Hotspot uses captive portal technology to control access to your guest WiFi network.
When a visitor connects to the WiFi network:
The connected router or access point redirects the visitor to a Splash Page.
The visitor selects or completes the available login method.
WiFi Hotspot authenticates the user and applies the configured access rules.
The visitor receives Internet access.
Sessions, usage, and other available analytics are recorded in the WiFi Hotspot dashboard.
No client software needs to be installed on visitor devices.
Manage Guest WiFi from One Dashboard
After your network hardware is connected to WiFi Hotspot, administration is performed through the web-based dashboard.
You can manage:
Locations and hotspots
WiFi users and accounts
Internet access limits
Branded Splash Pages
Login methods
Free and paid WiFi access
WiFi plans and products
Online payments
User sessions
Bandwidth usage
Visitor and device analytics
Revenue and usage reports
For networks with multiple locations, hotspots can be centrally managed from the same WiFi Hotspot account.
Customize the Guest WiFi Experience
Splash Pages can be customized to match the branding and requirements of each location.
Depending on your configuration, visitors can access WiFi using different login methods, including account login, free signup, vouchers, social login, or other supported authentication options.
Access rules can then determine how long users can stay connected, how much bandwidth they can use, how many devices they can connect, and other Internet usage limits.
Free and Paid WiFi
WiFi Hotspot can be used for both free guest WiFi and paid Internet access.
Businesses can create WiFi plans and define access limits based on time, bandwidth, validity period, number of devices, or other available settings.
When paid access is required, supported payment gateways can be used to sell WiFi plans directly through the Splash Page.
Analytics and Reporting
WiFi Hotspot records network activity and provides analytics that help administrators understand how the guest WiFi service is being used.
Available reports include information about:
Sessions
Visitors
Bandwidth
Demographics
Devices
Loyalty
Rejected logins
Revenue
Network usage trends
These reports can be used to monitor WiFi performance, troubleshoot access problems, understand visitor behavior, and evaluate usage across different locations.
